Alleviation of ammonia inhibition via nano-bubble water supplementation during anaerobic digestion of ammonia-rich swine manure: Buffering capacity promotion and methane production enhancement

چکیده

Anaerobic digestion (AD) of ammonia-rich swine manure (SM) with nano-bubble water (NBW) supplementation was studied in this work the expectation ammonia inhibition alleviation, buffering capacity promotion, and methane production enhancement. Results indicated that cumulative yield elevated by 12.3–38.7% NBW groups. Besides, reduced rate elongated lag phase under were increased shortened supplementation, respectively. The rapid increase total alkalinity (TA) partial (PA) could be observed as well decline VFA/TA, thus improved alleviated inhibition. Moreover, higher level extracellular hydrolases coenzyme F420 detected In conclusion, mobility zeta potential (absolute value) a promising strategy for alleviation suppression during AD SM.

Anaerobic digestion of dairy manure with enhanced ammonia removal.

Poor ammonia-nitrogen removal in methanogenic anaerobic reactors digesting animal manure has been reported as an important disadvantage of anaerobic digestion (AD) in several studies. Development of anaerobic processes that are capable of producing reduced ammonia-nitrogen levels in their effluent is one of the areas where further research must be pursued if AD technology is to be made more eff...

Biogas production from undiluted chicken manure and maize silage: A study of ammonia inhibition in high solids anaerobic digestion.

The feasibility of co-digestion of chicken manure (CM) and maize silage (MS) without water dilution was investigated in 5-L digesters. Specific methane production (SMP) of 0.309LCH4g(-1) volatile solids (VS) was achieved but only at lower %CM. Above a critical threshold for total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), estimated at 7gNL(-1), VFA accumulated with a characteristic increase in acetic acid followe...
